Grading system:
gallery grade plus (gg+)=outstanding highest figure with burl eyes/rays over 95 to 100% of the piece.  The best we can offer.  Some may get this rating even with 90% eyes if the eyes are small and tightly packed and the color is very good.
gallery grade (gg) = Very high figure with burl eyes/rays over at least 90% of the piece.  Each piece is striking.
gallery grade- (gg-)= Very high figure with burl eyes/rays over 70% of the piece or more.  May have small bark inclusion.
turning grade (usually left unmarked)= Burl eyes over at least 40% of the piece.  Still very beautiful.
If there is any sapwood on your piece, it will be noted or pictured below.  Sapwood often makes for great contrast!
